Musée Conservatoire ethnologique

At Mane, near Forcalquier in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, the priory of Salagon, a listed historic monument, houses the département's ethnology museum. Open all year round, this site, occupied since Gallo-Roman times, is one of the most remarkable medieval monumental complexes in Haute-Provence.

The museum collects and preserves collections and oral testimonies, which it presents in permanent and temporary exhibitions. Its ethnobotanical gardens tell, like open-air books, the story of the relationship between people and plants through the ages.
