Maison Forte de Reignac
The Maison Forte de Reignac, a listed historic monument, is at Tursac, in the Dordogne, between Montignac-Lascaux and Les Eyzies. This troglodyte 'cliff castle' emerges from the rock into which it is built and overlooks the Vézère.
Exceptionally well preserved and fully furnished with period pieces, it is presented as the only entirely intact monument of this type in France. Long little known, it was opened to visitors in April 2006.
