Les Jardins de Quercy
At Verfeil-sur-Seye, in the Tarn-et-Garonne, the Jardins de Quercy cover one hectare and are English in inspiration. They are labelled 'Jardin Remarquable'.
On a gently sloping hill, several themed gardens follow one another: a white garden, a green amphitheatre, woodland, a formal garden, an Indian garden and a maze. Well-kept lawns set off colourful beds and a great many roses, shrubs, perennials and annuals. Everywhere pretty benches invite visitors to stop and look at unusual plants, often labelled, or simply enjoy the birds and butterflies of this garden, which is managed without chemical treatments.
