Le Viaduc de Garabit
A majestic iron structure, the Garabit viaduct has linked the two banks of the Truyère for more than 120 years and arouses the admiration of holidaymakers who discover it on the roads that criss-cross these gorges with varied tourist attractions.
Designed by the civil engineer Léon Boyer and built by Gustave Eiffel from 1880 to 1884, the Garabit viaduct has found its place as a link between north and south but also as a work of art perfectly integrated into its natural environment.
