Le Musée fantastique de La Bête du Gévaudan

The Musée fantastique de la Bête du Gévaudan, in Saugues in the Haute-Loire, tells the story of this beast, which really existed. From July 1764 to June 1767 it killed more than a hundred people, mostly women and children, in a vast area from Langogne to Aumont and from Ruynes to Pinols and Saugues.

A route of 22 scenes recreates the atmosphere of the time, the fear of the population, the landscapes and the characters of this story.
