Le Marais d'Orx

The Marais d'Orx, in the Landes, is a true geological territory whose formation dates back some three million years. Until the mid-19th century, repeated attempts to drain it brought no lasting result, the water tirelessly reclaiming the conquered land.

The Maison du Marais, a renovated former barn, gathers all the information needed to discover and understand the Marais d'Orx Nature Reserve. Guided visits for individuals or groups are offered all year by booking, as are educational activities on request.
