Jardin des Plantes de chez nous
The Jardin des Plantes de chez nous is at Scy-Chazelles, near Metz, in the Moselle, next to the house of Robert Schuman, one of the founding fathers of Europe. It occupies part of the park of the property, on the slopes above the Moselle valley.
The garden showcases forgotten plant varieties from the horticultural heritage of the Grand Est: around a hundred plants bred by local nurserymen such as Simon-Louis or Lemoine are grown here. The route passes through woodland, a classical garden, a kitchen garden and a contemporary garden, tracing the evolution of tastes and techniques.
There are also proven garden plants and several tips to try at home. The garden is open to the public for much of the year and belongs to the Jardins sans limites network.
