Centre Pompidou Metz

Moselle, Grand Est

The Centre Pompidou-Metz is a masterpiece of contemporary architecture. Designed by Shigeru Ban and Jean de Gastines, it offers three exhibition galleries covered by a daring roof reminiscent of a Chinese hat. Through its temporary and semi-permanent exhibitions, it presents the best of modern and contemporary art, drawing on the collection of the Centre Pompidou in Paris, which holds 65,000 works.

The Centre Pompidou-Metz is a public cultural institution located in Metz, between the Parc de la Seille and the railway station. Opened in 2010, it is one of the most visited French museums outside Paris, notably thanks to its proximity to Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium.
