Jardin botanique de Tours
The botanical garden of Tours, in the Indre-et-Loire, is a popular place for a walk. On the south side, an arboretum holds hundreds of species and makes it a reference garden. Near the play areas, the medicinal plant garden has many species arranged by their properties.
The varied animal enclosures attract young and old, and a mini-farm is also open to the public. The collection greenhouses present the exotic world of useful plants, plants from South Africa and tropical undergrowth. Finally, the new contemporary garden offers a space for meditation beneath its giant grasses.
