Grotte des Moidons
The Moidons caves are at Molain, in the Jura, in the heart of the Jura forest, a few minutes from Arbois. Discovered in 1966, they were opened to the public in 1989. They are limestone cavities adorned with stalagmites, columns, curtains and very many stalactites. A new gallery, accessible to pushchairs, was added in April 2013.
The visit lasts about fifty minutes. It includes an introductory film, a guided route in the cave and a musical immersion. An area is devoted to bats, which have always frequented the place, with a labyrinth for children.
Outside, nature discovery trails, a picnic area and a reception chalet complete the site. The underground route is not suitable for wheelchairs.
