Cascade des Tufs
The Tufs waterfall is in the heart of the Baume cirque, near the village of Baume-les-Messieurs, ranked among the most beautiful villages in France. The water flowing from the reculée forms several successive falls over deposits of limestone tufa, creating a landscape of pools and mosses characteristic of the Jura reculées. The site is visited on foot by a shaded path starting from the village, a few kilometres from Arbois. It is one of the sources of the Dard, a tributary of the Seille.
