Grotte de l'Observatoire
The Grotte de l'Observatoire, beneath a garden on the Riviera, was formed by the action of water charged with carbon dioxide on dolomitic limestone. Its temperature of 18.65 °C is constant all year round.
It was fitted out from 1947 and welcomed its first visitor on 2 August 1950. The guided visit, lasting 35 minutes, leaves a strong impression: this world of formations, draperies, stalactites and stalagmites extends the sense of escape offered by the garden.
