Forum des Sciences

The Forum départemental des Sciences in Villeneuve-d'Ascq, in the Nord, is dedicated to spreading scientific and technical culture. Its mission is to share scientific and technical knowledge with a wide public, especially children and teenagers, and to raise citizens' interest in the social issues linked to science, research and industry.

It is in the Centre François Mitterrand, in the town-hall district of Villeneuve-d'Ascq. The Forum also coordinates science initiatives with the département's seven museums, such as the Lewarde mining history centre, the Matisse museum at Le Cateau-Cambrésis and the Lille natural history museum.
