Ecomusée de Marquèze
The Marquèze eco-museum, in the Landes, was created by the Regional Nature Park in 1970. The area and society it studied were then those of the Grande Lande; today its field of study is gradually widening to the whole forest area of the Landes de Gascogne.
The eco-museum has three sites, two of them created over time, bearing witness to the way of life and cultural past of 19th-century traditional society: the Quartier de Marquèze at Sabres and the pine resin distillery workshop at Luxey.
