Ecomusée d'Alsace
A living open-air museum: The largest ecomuseum in France has become a worldwide reference for preserving, presenting and bringing heritage to life. Its originality lies in its evolving nature, which leads it to include everything that people feel should be passed on to the future.
From its core of half-timbered houses, the Ecomuseum has taken in other kinds of heritage as well as farming and craft techniques, festivals and industry.
Everything for one or several relaxing days: forest, navigable river, gardens, terraces, restaurants and open-air cafés.
