Domaine de La Bourbansais
At Pleugueneuc near Rennes. Built in 1583 on Gallo-Roman remains, La Bourbansais abandoned the military architecture previously imposed by an independent, warlike Brittany. In the eighteenth century, the château and park were updated for the receptions the owner of the time liked to give for his peers of the Parliament. La Bourbansais is one of the most harmonious of the great châteaux of Brittany. The zoo, gardens and château can be visited all year round.
