Cité de l'Océan
The Cité de l'Océan is an interactive museum devoted to the marine world, at La Milady, avenue de la Plage, in Biarritz, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques. It is linked by a combined ticket to the Biarritz aquarium, about three kilometres away.
The visit lasts three hours on average and relies on immersive technologies: virtual reality, a surf simulator, 360-degree experiences, a bathyscaphe and a 3D documentary. The spaces deal with the birth of the ocean, biodiversity, the poles and their mysteries, and call on smell and bone conduction.
A photographic exhibition, The Wildlife Odyssey, completes the route, which is suitable from age 6.
