Cirque du Litor
The Litor cirque is a natural site in the Pyrenees, in the upper Ouzom valley, on the border between the Hautes-Pyrénées and the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, near Arbéost. It opens at the foot of ridges and summits such as the Aubisque massif and the Petit Gabizos, with high pastures where horses and ewes graze, grassy slopes and open views over the valley.
It is explored on foot, by paths leading from the heights of Arbéost to the neighbouring passes, or from the Soulor and Aubisque road. It offers an authentic mountain setting away from the crowds, particularly beautiful in late spring, when the meadows are green, and in autumn. Take warm clothing and check the weather before setting out.
