Château-Perret
Château-Perret, in the Rhône, is a 19th-century folly flanked by three towers with spire roofs: a square tower in the centre of the west façade, another square tower on the south side and a round tower on the north side. The east façade is fronted by a terrace and a semicircular staircase.
An earlier château was built on the fief of La Chaux. In the early 17th century Jean de Raverie was lord of Vaise and La Chaux and treasurer general of France for the Lyon généralité. Château-Perret lies in the communes of Collonges-au-Mont-d'Or and Saint-Cyr-au-Mont-d'Or; it is private and cannot be visited, but can be seen from outside.
