Château Deganne
Adalbert Deganne gave his name to this Renaissance-style château that he had built in 1853 beside the beach at Arcachon, in the Gironde. However, he never spent a single night here, except on his deathbed.
In 1991 the beach side of the château was profoundly altered by the addition of the 'Palatium', comprising a conference centre, a three-star hotel, a holiday residence, several shops and some luxury apartments.
