Château de Vanves
The Château de Vanves, in the Hauts-de-Seine, was probably built around the middle of the 17th century for Abbé Charles Le Prevost, lord of Vanves from 1638 to 1661. Claude Lebas de Montargis later became its owner and had a new château built by the architect Jules Hardouin-Mansart. Completed in 1704, it was sold as national property during the French Revolution.
In 1799 it was bought by the Collège Louis-le-Grand, which turned it into a school. In 1859 the château was enlarged and a chapel was built.
