Château de Trévarez

Finistère, Bretagne

The Trévarez estate, at Saint-Goazec, in the Finistère, overlooks the Aulne valley, a few kilometres from Châteauneuf-du-Faou. This Belle Époque château is surrounded by a park of 75 hectares, which combines a classical formal garden, an Italian-inspired garden, a picturesque garden animated by waterfalls and contemporary gardens, within an English-style park taking advantage of the relief and the original forest.

The gardens, labelled Remarkable Garden, are renowned for their collection of camellias, rhododendrons and other ericaceous plants.

The visit is self-guided all year round. The exhibition "Building a Dream" retraces the history of the estate and its designer, James de Kerjégu, and the private apartments, restored in Art Nouveau style, have been open since 2019. The estate also hosts flower shows and events.
