Château de Cheffontaines
The Château de Cheffontaines is a remarkable château at Clohars-Fouesnant, in the Finistère. In 1766 Cheffontaines became a marquisate, and the new Marquis de Cheffontaines built himself a residence worthy of the title Louis XV had granted his fief.
The manor of Bodinio was then largely pulled down to provide its fine granite for the construction of the present Château de Cheffontaines, in a vast estate of 3,000 hectares.
