Château de Touffou
Majestically overlooking the Vienne valley, the Château de Touffou is a residence both strange and noble, with great charm. The château is mentioned as early as 1127. Its two keeps, built in the 12th century, were joined in the 15th century and given an elaborate defence system with a crenellated wall-walk and machicolations.
The visit includes the François I tower, decorated with frescoes, the Chapel tower (chapel and dungeons) and the Hostelry tower (former bakehouse and kitchen). The gardens and stables can be visited freely.
