Château de Ternay

The Château de Ternay, in the Vienne, is a listed historic monument in private ownership, open to visitors by appointment only.

It bears witness to the centuries since the Hundred Years' War. The owner welcomes visitors himself and tells the story of the place, from carved-out stone to sculpted stone. The tour passes the moat and the cave dwellings, the old keep, the main courtyard and the chapel, regarded as a masterpiece of Flamboyant Gothic art. Period furniture completes the discovery of this large furnished and inhabited house, rich in both historical and family heritage.
