Château de Rochebrune
Dating from the eleventh and twelfth centuries, a former medieval principality, the château is fully furnished and holds interesting mementoes from the Renaissance to the Empire. Listed as a historic monument, the residence lies on the Richard the Lionheart route. The dining room and the armoury, with remarkable stone fireplaces, have painted ceilings decorated with the arms of the Princes of Chabanais. A large vaulted staircase leads to the great drawing room and antechambers, which keep furniture, travel souvenirs and paintings recalling the glorious battles of General Count Dupont.
