Château de Pibrac
The Château de Pibrac is at Pibrac, in the north of the Haute-Garonne, in the Toulouse area. Its construction took several centuries: work began in the 16th century and was only completed in the 19th. It is a red-brick Renaissance château surrounded by an English garden.
The garden is open to the public for walks. Pibrac is also known as the town of Saint Germaine, a 16th-century shepherdess whose sanctuary receives pilgrims. A visit to the village and the château is easy and pleasant, about twenty minutes from Toulouse.
