Château de la Johannie

This feudal house in the Corrèze, said to have been built in 1083, belonged from 1308 to the commandery of the female Order of Malta established at Curemonte.

The Château de la Johannie, its two wings, the tower, the spiral staircase and four fireplaces on the two floors of both wings were registered as historic monuments on 22 November 1981. The house consists of two buildings at right angles, with a square stair tower at their junction housing the spiral staircase that serves both.
