Château de Frémigny

The former château of one of Napoleon's aides-de-camp, Frémigny, in the Essonne, has belonged to the insurer Axa since 1963. The building is typical of the Consulate period, but its origins go back to Gallo-Roman times, when a villa stood on the land.

Today it is a large training centre: since 1987 it has housed the insurer's sales school. While the modern facilities are a matter of taste, the 30-hectare park is magnificent. Listed in the cultural heritage inventory, it includes a lake and an orangery.
