Château d'Ardenay
The Château d'Ardenay was built by Jean Boussac, the miller of the Montrouge mill, originally from Châteauroux, at a time when the commune was a holiday resort.
Between 1958 and 1960 the Parc d'Ardenay residence was built following the principles of the architect Le Corbusier: seven buildings (A to G) surround the old house, which was turned into a library and function room for the co-owners.
The château is in Palaiseau, in the Essonne, on the edge of the Saclay plateau overlooking the lower Chevreuse valley, eighteen kilometres south-west of Paris.
