Château du Bois-Courtin
The Château du Bois-Courtin is in the commune of Villejust, in the Essonne, about twenty kilometres south-west of Paris. It stands in the middle of the Bois Courtin, on the northern edge of the Courtabœuf plateau.
The estate was sold in 1820 to Jean Alexandre Pauquet de Villejust. The central millstone pavilion dates from the 1840s, around 1849. The château later belonged to the Ocampo family, from Argentina; one of the sons had the building partly transformed in 1932, and the round tower dates from that campaign of work. The sources consulted mention no opening to the public.
