Cascades de la Vernière

Puy-de-Dôme, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

At the east exit of La Bourboule, in the Puy-de-Dôme, the Cliergue stream forms two successive falls: the Vernière waterfall and the Plat à Barbe, about ten metres high. The site is discovered after a short walk from the D130 road linking La Bourboule to Le Mont-Dore, along a shaded path that follows the watercourse. A discreet and refreshing setting, appreciated by walkers on a spa holiday.
