Cascade du Saut de la Truite
The Saut de la Truite is a waterfall on the Savoureuse in the commune of Lepuix, above Giromagny, in the Territoire de Belfort. It is one of the falls along the river's climb towards the Ballon d'Alsace, in the first foothills of the Vosges.
The site is a popular walk: several hiking routes start from the car park of the inn of the same name above Lepuix, or from the large Malvaux car park. The GR5 passes nearby on its way up to the Ballon d'Alsace, also skirting the Rummel waterfall and the Étang du Petit-Haut.
As often in the Vosges, the falls are finest after heavy rain. Beware of namesakes: other waterfalls share the name, notably in the Haut-Rhin and in Occitanie.
