Cascade du moulin de Vermondans
The Moulin de Vermondans waterfall is a waterfall in the commune of Plaimbois-Vennes, in the Doubs. It lies in a small reculée perpendicular to the Reverotte valley, where an underground stream reappears then tumbles down the cliff for 25 metres, creating fine tufa masses.
The water once fed a mill dated 1512, which worked until 1952, and up to four factories ran nearby. The waterfall is easy to reach thanks to the small road linking the Reverotte valley to Plaimbois-Vennes, with a car park at a hairpin bend.
