Cascade d'Aubres
The Aubres waterfall pours over a moss-covered tufa limestone wall, in the commune of Aubres, a few kilometres from Nyons, in the heart of the Drôme provençale. Fed by a tributary of the Eygues, it falls about 15 metres, splitting into several threads of water that trickle over the green rock.
Set in a green setting of olive trees, vines and lavender, the site is reached from Nyons by following the D94 towards Rémuzat to the hamlet of Aubres. The waterfall is particularly photogenic after rain or at snowmelt, when its flow is most generous.
The site remains discreet and little developed, away from the main tourist flows of the Drôme provençale, which makes it a refreshing and authentic stop during a walk in the Nyons region.
