Aquavire

Aquavire is the municipal aquatic centre of Vire, in the Calvados, in the heart of the Normandy bocage. It is on the Avenue du Général de Gaulle.

The centre has a 25-metre sports pool, a leisure pool with water jets, a paddling pool for toddlers and a slide. Outside, paved and grassy sunbathing areas host a multi-lane slide. A relaxation area with a hammam, sauna and jacuzzi is a place to unwind after swimming.

The centre also offers supervised activities: swimming lessons, baby swimming, aqua aerobics, aqua cycling and a water garden for young children. Opening times vary with the day and the time of year, with a midday closure on most weekdays: check them on the town's website before going.
