Zoo de la Pommeraie - Parc Animalier
The Parc Animalier La Pommeraie is at Peumérit, in the heart of the Bigouden country, between Pont-l'Abbé and Audierne, at the place called Lanvréon. A small zoo originally, it became an animal park in 1998.
The visit follows a flowery, wooded walk, during which visitors can enter some enclosures and meet domestic or farm animals: llamas, black pigs, donkeys, sheep, goats, geese, ducks or pheasants. Children can feed the goats that roam freely.
The place also has a cultural and playful dimension: sculptures, a painting exhibition, a relaxation area with soft music, a story tree, a reading hut, children's games, a mini-golf, educational beehives and an exhibition on bees. You can picnic on site, and there is a shop.
The park is accessible to people with reduced mobility; pets are not admitted. It is a human-scale family outing in southern Finistère.
