Saint Jean Montclar

Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur

Montclar, at Saint-Jean-Montclar in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, is a small-scale village resort between the Alps and Provence, about two hours from the Mediterranean coast. Set in the Blanche valley, between Digne, Gap and Barcelonnette, it nestles at the foot of the Dormillouse (2,500 m) and looks out over Lake Serre-Ponçon.

The resort has two slopes. In winter, its ski area of about fifty kilometres of runs is complemented by an ice rink, snowshoeing and yooner sledges. In summer, visitors hike to mountain lakes and enjoy mountain biking, water sports and air sports. It is especially suited to families.
