This hamlet of fewer than 200 inhabitants clinging to the banks of a river valley is a typical Thiérache village. As is often the case in this region, the church, reached by a gate located in a neighbouring house, was fortified to protect the inhabitants from a possible attack. It has a square tower with a turret that could be barricaded at the slightest alert. Today, nothing disturbs the bucolic peace that reigns in this place, and you can quietly savour the charm of its houses and farms where wattle and thatch here and there replace brick and slate, as well as that of its gardens, under the impassive gaze of cows and ducks.
