Observatoire du Mont-Aigoual
In the Cévennes, on the border between the Gard and the Lozère, at 1,567 metres, stands the Mont Aigoual Observatory and its Météo-France weather station, in operation since 1887. People and machines watch over the skies of France around the clock. The panorama covers a quarter of France: from Mont Ventoux to Mont Blanc, from the Canigou to the Pic du Midi, from the Chaîne des Puys to the Mediterranean, rarely revealed horizons unfold before you.
