Musée Industriel de la Corderie Vallois
The Corderie Vallois industrial museum occupies a 19th-century rope works in the Cailly valley at Notre-Dame-de-Bondeville, in the Seine-Maritime, and holds the 'Musée de France' label.
The founder, Jules Vallois, a rope maker at Saint-Martin-du-Vivier, had to move after the local river, the Robec, was diverted to supply Rouen with water. First a tenant of the Rondeau property, he later bought it. In 1880 the spinning mill gave way to a mechanical rope works, for which he installed English and French machines. These old machines are still driven today by a water wheel.
