Musée des "Beaux-Arts"
The Musée des Beaux-Arts of Quimper, in the Finistère, is one of the richest museums in Brittany and in provincial France. It has an interesting collection of 16th- to 19th-century paintings, including major works of the Flemish, Dutch, Italian and French schools.
The Breton-inspired collection, together with the Pont-Aven School, is the highlight, with works by Sérusier, Émile Bernard and others. A tribute is also paid to the Quimper poet and painter Max Jacob.
