Maison Louis XIV

Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Nouvelle-Aquitaine

Lohobiague-Enea, known as the "Maison Louis XIV": a lived-in house open to visitors, listed as a Historic Monument. Come and discover or rediscover the history of Saint-Jean-de-Luz and of France. It was here, in May 1660, that the 22-year-old Louis XIV stayed for 40 days for his wedding to the Infanta of Spain.

The house is a private residence, owned by the same family since it was built. It is still lived in: you will find 370 years of furniture, paintings, tableware, mementoes and everyday objects...
