Les Grottes de Maxange : Grottes à concretions en Dordogne
At Le Buisson-de-Cadouin, in the Dordogne, the Maxange caves display a rare variety of formations.
Visitors can see stalactites and stalagmites, many panels of aragonite covering entire walls, extremely fine soda straws and, above all, an exceptional profusion of rare crystallisations known as 'eccentrics' or helictites, which grow in every direction.
Maxange is considered one of the most beautiful crystal caves in France.
