La Norma
La Norma is a winter sports resort in the Haute-Maurienne, in the Savoie, perched at about 1,350 metres above the Arc valley. It belongs to the communes of Villarodin-Bourget and Avrieux and lies in the outer zone of the Vanoise National Park.
The resort centre is car-free, making it a quiet place for families. The ski area covers several hundred hectares up to about 2,750 metres, around the Pointe de La Norma, reached notably by the Mélezet gondola and the Repose chairlift.
It is close to the motorway exit and Modane station, which makes access easy. In summer it is a starting point for hikes into the Vanoise and is near heritage sites such as the Esseillon forts.
