The bell foundry at Villedieu-les-Poêles, in the Manche, welcomes visitors to the sound of a carillon in its garden. A short guided tour of the historic workshop then introduces the art of casting bells.

An exhibition of old bells and commentary on the work in progress complete the discovery of this craft. Allow about an hour. The shop sells the foundry's own products, bells, decorative bronzes and copper cookware, as well as local specialities.
