Couvent des Carmes
The cradle of the Dauphins' history, the Carmelite convent of Beauvoir-en-Royans, in the Isère, overlooks the Isère valley at the foot of the green foothills of the Vercors. It stands on the edge of the fortified medieval village, in fine natural surroundings.
This restored 14th-century convent houses the Dauphins museum, which traces the history of the Dauphins of France and the lands of the Dauphiné, and the Flora museum, an ethnobotanical exhibition devoted to the plants of the Vercors Regional Nature Park. The site also has a reception and catering area for receptions and seminars.
