Château de Vendeuvre - Musée du mobilier

The château de Vendeuvre is in the commune of Vendeuvre, between Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives and Falaise, in Normandy. It has been open to the public since 1983 and houses the miniature furniture museum, the first collection in the world of miniature furniture, a collection of dog kennels and pet houses; the enfilade of drawing rooms is a fine example of the eighteenth-century art of living also attested by the kitchens of the same period. Outside, the château is enhanced by "surprise" water gardens and a shell grotto.
