Château de Robersart

Nord, Hauts-de-France

Twice collapsed and twice rebuilt, the Château de Robersart, a landmark of Wambrechies in the Nord, has had an eventful history. Once the home of the town's lords, it now belongs to the town, which has made it a cultural venue. It is open to the public and can be fully visited during the Heritage Days.

Its museum holds a fine collection of dolls and old toys from the 19th century to the 1960s. It is housed in the château, built in the 18th century in Renaissance style and renovated a few years ago. Real gems are on display, from tin soldiers to a Citroën car, by way of dolls of every period.
