Château de Montmort

Marne, Grand Est

A medieval fortress that became a château in the Renaissance, the Château de Montmort, in the Marne, is one of the finest listed historic monuments in Champagne.

Its silhouette is striking in its majesty and elegance: a raised brick building with slate roofs, protected by double moats and reached by a three-arched bridge leading to the drawbridge.

The carefully kept park slips into the moats before opening out onto the terrace.
